This document has been written to encompass all of the general policies of the Galactic Empire pertaining to the maintenance of the integrity of its membership base. Any violation of the policies may result in appropriate action taken by the Imperial Administration. In the empire, membership integrity is valued over membership quantity, with sole, undisputed relevance to the sanctity of the empire’s platform itself.
All members of the empire are expected to follow the chain of command and show proper respect to authorities and executive order. Members may not engage in slander, libel or false witness, but are encouraged to speak their minds with utmost genuity. Freedom of speech is a virtue preserved and protected by the Galactic Empire on its dedicated servers, forum and any other online elements. Any deviation from the preservation of such by any reigning commander is punishable by higher authority. However, because freedom of speech is maintained, there is no restriction on profanity or racism. In any case when what is said by a member is deemed open to argument, other members may openly challenge the offensive statements at their sole discretion. By this token, all members are encouraged to be self-responsible.
The Imperial Military and all its divisions are the backbone of the empire’s might and are responsible for the execution of the empire’s ideals throughout its gaming factions. It is built on a strict chain of command split evenly between the Galactic Imperial Army (GIA) and the Galactic Imperial Navy (GIN), accompanied by sub-divisions belonging to each. Members who enlist in the Imperial Military are expected to follow the lead of military authorities, who will train and educate them in the ways of combat and all feasible warfare against the empire’s adversaries. Members are free to choose whichever division they wish to join. However, unless exceptions are made by the Imperial Administration in the case of developmental factions or such, the member will automatically lose the equivalent of one rank. This initiative helps to prevent the divisions from becoming inflated.
After demonstrating at least satisfactory character and understanding pertaining to the next rank, a member may receive a promotion from the military high command of his or her division, if not from the Imperial Grand Director. Members who act out of turn or demonstrate purposeful or belligerent intent against other members or authorities may be demoted by at least one rank equivalent. Continuing offenders may be dismissed from the Imperial Military or the Galactic Empire itself; and may or may not rejoin in the future after their circumstances have been evaluated.
All active members of the Imperial Military may not hold dual membership with any other affiliation, group or entity in the same game where the empire operates. Members found to hold dual membership with other affiliations, groups or entities will be issued a mandatory summon to leave the other affiliation, group or entity. Failure to comply will result in the immediate termination of membership.
